Every year I attend the Sister's in Spirit Mother's Day March with my family. To me this is one of the best ways to honor my mother.
This year I invited student run organizations and the newly elected student executive (UMSU) to participate along with their families.
Placards with the name of one of the missing or murdered women are handed out at the beginning of the march.
I am so very proud of you!!!! People get busy and living life can be hard no matter what you're doing, even if you're doing what you love. We don't always have the luxury of time to say to the people who share our lives that we approve of their choices, enjoy what they're up to, get inspiration or strength from them. So while i have the chance i want you to know that I am lucky to have a kid like you who wants to do sometning that has risks and takes effort for the good of others. I know mothers and daughters that suffer will appreciate your work. I love you...Ma.
